Ask Claude about our recipes
Give Claude one address, and you can ask it about our recipes, places and stories in your own words.
What it is
This site has a small door for AI helpers, called an MCP server. Once Claude knows where it is, Claude can look up the recipes we have published, the places they come from, the hometowns we bake for and the stories behind them, then answer from what it finds.
This is the address you give Claude:
https://garagedoorsmores.com/mcp
Copy it exactly. It is not a page to open in your browser. Only Claude can use it.
If you use Claude Code
Run this one line in your terminal, in the folder you work from:
claude mcp add --transport http smores https://garagedoorsmores.com/mcp
Then ask Claude a question about desserts. We tried this ourselves on November 5, 2026, and Claude answered from our recipes.
If you use the Claude app
Claude calls this a custom connector. These steps come from Claude's own help page on custom connectors. We have not clicked through them ourselves yet, and the menus may move.
- Open Customize, then Connectors.
- Click Add, then Add custom connector.
- Give it a name you will know, like Garage Door S'mores.
- Paste the address and click Continue.
- Check the sign-in settings and click Continue again.
- When it asks how people sign in, pick No sign in. This site has no accounts.
- Click Add to finish.
- In a chat, click the plus button at the lower left, open Connectors and switch it on.
On a Team or Enterprise plan, an owner adds the connector for everyone first, and then you click Connect. A free plan allows one custom connector.
Things to ask
- How do I make campfire s'mores, and how long do they take?
- What is the story behind pastéis de nata?
- What sweets is Kyoto known for?
What it cannot do
- It only reads. It cannot add, change or delete anything on this site.
- There is no account and no key, so it never knows who you are.
- It never sees a draft. It knows only the pages that are already live here.
